World Dumpling Fest 2017

World Dumpling Fest is an afternoon of cultural performance, art and food at Millennium Park, celebrating diverse cultures throughout the city and world. The event will preview the INHERIT CHICAGO events in the neighborhoods, and feature dumplings from 10-15 area ethnic restaurants, 7 artist booths and performances throughout the day.

TRYZUB UKRAINIAN KITCHEN

Tryzub will serve a Varenyky: White - traditional potato and cheese (V), Red - Beat juice infused shell with chicken red pepper and sun-dried tomato filling, Orange - carrot juice infused shell with pork and onion filling, Yellow - turmeric infused shell with sauerkraut and mushroom filling (V), & Green - spinach infused shell with spinach and cheese filling (V)


Ethiopian Diamond

Ethiopian Diamond will be serving their delicious Sambusas, light pastry shells with delicately spiced minced meat, or chopped vegetables (V)


The Chow Bros.

The Chow Bros. will be serving The Elevated Pierogi


Himalayan Restaurant

Himalayan Restaurant will be serving a Himalayan Momo. Momo is the heart of Nepal's food culture.

Himmel’s will be serving the traditional and delicious German dumpling, Spätzle: Spätzle with grilled onions (V) & Spätzle with Gravy

Kamehachi will be serving a Gyoza: Pork & Mushroom Gyoza, & Steamed Whitefish with Ginger & Chive Gyoza

Hema's Kitchen will be serving their famous Vegetable Samosa (V)

About INHERIT CHICAGO

INHERIT CHICAGO is a city-wide intercultural festival of art, ideas, and performance. It is the first and only intercultural festival that highlights the rich diversity across the city's neighborhoods, and promotes cultural and community understanding among young and old. INHERIT CHICAGO is a festival for neighborhoods, by neighborhood heritage museums and cultural centers. This inaugural, month-long festival will debut October 2017 with an opening celebration that then travels to the neighborhoods for 20 intercultural programs and events at the city's cultural centers and heritage museums; connecting heritage to today, connecting communities through collaboration, and connecting audiences to the vibrancy of Chicago's neighborhoods.

• Do I have to register for Bistro Tickets system and sign in to purchase tasting passes?

If you prefer not to create an account with Bistro Tickets, you may select "Checkout as a Guest" in Step 1 of the checkout process. For future convenience shopping with us, we welcome you to register with us, but this is not required.

• How will I recieve my event ticket / tasting pass?

We will not ship any tasting passes. They will be available for pick up at will call at the event on Friday, October 7 at Chase Promenade South, Millennium Park. A booth clearly marked with "Pre-purchased Tasting Passes" will be stationed near the entrance to the event.

 

• Can tasting passes be purchased on-site at the event and is there an incentive to pre-purchasing tickets online?

Tasting Passes, exchangable for 3 or 18 dumplings, will be available for purchase on-site at World Dumpling Fest. Passes will be sold at an increased price of (ON-SITE PRICE COMING SOON) at the booth clearly marked with "Tasting Passes for Sale" near the entrance to the event. Dumplings may not be purchased with cash or credit with the dumpling vendors.

Pre-purchasing online allows quick access to your passes, quick entry to the event, and a discount for purchasing ahead of time.
